Panic released a pretty sweet app for the iPad today called StatusBoard. One of the coolest things about it is that you can have custom HTML widgets as well as everything it comes with by default. I thought that was pretty neat.
So before everyone rushed in with rotating cat photos, I made my own. It’s a widget that takes the first website on your Google Analytics account and fetches visits for the day. No history. No breakdowns. Just a visit count. I kept it simple because its cooler that way, and because I’m not smart enough to put a bunch of stuff in there. It looks like this.
A lot of it is Google’s code. I’d like to make it so that you can choose from the websites you want to track instead of being forced to one. As soon as I figure that out, I’ll put it in.
There’s going to be bugs and shit and whatnot, but I’m working on them. I creatively called it Stanalytics (StatusBoard + Analytics)
If you’re on an iPad and have the app, this link will install everything for you.
Otherwise, add this URL as a custom HTML widget in StatusBoard when you feel like it.
Hope you like it!
